Leeds won comfortably against Middlesbrough but things could have been a bit different had Kiko Casilla not shown tremendous skill and composure in the first half.

The Spaniard has looked more assured between the posts this term and though there is still an unpredictable element to his play, he showed that he can get good use out of it, touching the ball cleverly past the oncoming Boro player when it looked like it could be a 50-50 ball.

The presence of mind to pull off such a trick shows the confidence he has in his own game as well as the desire to play to the standards Marcelo Bielsa asks of them, and that means playing out from the back when the opportunity is there.

Such was his skill that one fan even suggested he could take Kalvin Phillips’ place in midfield, while others were quick to lavish praise on the 33-year-old.

As long as he continues to make the right decision and execute it with great effect then both Bielsa and the fans will be happy, particularly as he kept his 11th clean sheet of the season in doing so.

Previous mistakes, such as the calamitous error against Derby in the playoffs, seem to be behind him now, and the assurance of his presence is having a positive effect on the defence, and young players like Ben White.

There are still some amongst the fanbase who worry when the keeper gets the ball, however, as the unknown feeling of what is going to come next can fill them with dread and the sense that they could concede if Casilla gets it wrong.
