Queensland Cricket08-Mar-2003A trio of fitness checks this week will determine the ultimate make-upof the XXXX Queensland Bulls team to tackle NSW in the Pura Cup Final atthe Gabba starting on Friday.The Bulls will check the availability of former captain Stuart Law(wrist), pace bowler Joe Dawes (back) and allrounder Lee Carseldine(back) tomorrow as they commence their build-up for their fourth PuraCup title in a row.Dawes withdrew on the morning of the match against NSW at the SCG whileCarseldine injured his back taking a catch in the Bulls outright loss tothe Blues and was forced to bat with a runner in both innings.Law has been unable to play since suffering a badly bruised wrist amonth ago and last week was not optimistic of his chances of bolsteringthe Bulls batting line-up for the Final after he was ruled out for theBlues match.The Queensland selectors will name a squad on Tuesday for the match,with swing bowler Adam Dale certain to enter calculations after aninspirational 6-17 for his club team Wynnum-Manly in yesterday’sBrisbane XXXX First Grade semi-final against Gold Coast.Tickets for the Final will be on sale on match days, with gates openingat 9am and playing commencing at 10am. Adult tickets are $10 andchildren U-16 and full pensioners are $2.Sunday will be the special Pura Family Day, with all children admittedfree, and a range of entertainment, prize giveaways and activities to beheld. There will be a Pura gift bags for the first 1000 kids to enterthe ground and fans will be given the chance to play on the Gabba atlunch time.
